Dealing with Back Pain

Guest Blog By: Mindy L.

Back problems can cause some of the worst pain anyone will have to endure. The causes are many and can stem from badly executed exercises to the type of work they perform to simply getting older. But back pain is not something that will go away on its own and it is also not something someone can fix at home. Whenever back pain is felt and appears to be chronic, a spinal doctor should be the first stop on anyone’s checklist. Rather than individuals having endure the pain and pressure that come with chronic back pain, a spinal doctor can relieve those aches and pains and get patients back to 100 percent healthy. Seeking the right spinal doctors in St Louis should not be difficult, as there are many that are both qualified and experienced.

The Process of Getting Better

First and foremost, understanding back pain will be the initial action taken by any spinal doctor. Any doctor that forgoes this vital first step and goes straight into addressing the back pain should be avoided. Since there are so many reasons why back pain would emerge, there are also a number of different options for any sufferer. There are non-surgical options that can include simple things such as rest, braces or even medications to help ease the pain. For more serious and chronic pain, there are surgical options meant to cure the problem where it starts before it becomes worse.

The Wish and the Fulfillment

Guest Blog By: Jackson M.

The Wish

We have all wished to change our bodies for the better. More often than not the wish is for a sleeker model; those who are more than 100 lbs overweight can do more than just wish. They can look for the best bariatric surgeons St Louis has to offer and change their lives forever. Weight loss surgery isn't frivolous and those who are seriously overweight are not just concerned with looking better. On the contrary, being overweight leads to serious health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Excess fat can prove difficult to lose; however, where will power alone fails, medical science can succeed. Defiant bodies can be mastered.

The Fulfillment

While dieting and exercise should enable a person to lose weight, there are many obstacles to overcome and being fat sometimes leads to low self-esteem which leads to overeating. Lack of exercise contributes to unwanted body fat, but being fat makes exercise difficult. Bariatric surgery helps the individual to lose weight by limiting the amount of food the stomach can hold and/or decreasing the absorption of calories with adjustable gastric banding, roux-en-Y gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. By eating less and absorbing less of the nutrients eaten, the body is forced to burn the excess body fat it has been hording. You feel better, you look better and are able to move more - thus increasing calorie consumption and quickening your journey to a sleeker model of you.

Transferring Resources to other Countries

One of the fundamental arguments for a European Union was the ability for companies to easily move across borders. An increasing number of European-based companies are moving a portion of their staff to other countries within Europe and more commonly to Asia – it simply makes sense in a global economy. Expanding facilities in different countries allows companies to take advantage of lower operating costs and taxes or simply to serve a new territory – and they often need proven managers to run these operations. Moving is a hassle for everyone, but utilizing relocation resources such as specialized agencies, realtors that have a national or global presence and proven courier services companies can make the transition smoother. In this article, I will discuss some potential resources for businesses and their employees.

Where to Find the Best Long Term Care Insurance Resources

Guest Blog By: Erin L.
Don't Wait before It Is Too late

As a person ages, it becomes inevitable that at some point in the future, he/she will need long term care facilities. The question is when should a person start looking for the best options for them? Waiting until the need arises is not the time for someone to decide that he/she needs LTC insurance coverage. The sooner the better, for rates are sure to go up. According to The American Association of Long Term Care Insurance, the cost of LTC insurance rose by almost 70% in 2010.

Who should buy Long Term Care Insurance?

Everyone should assume that he/she will live to an old age and prepare for the inevitable event that he/she will need long term care at some future point. Although the best time to purchase LTC is in the 50s or early 60s, some people wait until their mid to late-60s. Any older than that is too late and it is impossible to find an insurance company that will provide coverage. Therefore, a great solution is to look at group insurance plans. These are offered by an employer while working and by organizations such as an employee's union. As an example, group health insurance in California is a viable option for those employed in the state. Those looking to retire should approach the employer as soon as possible to inquire about rates and options for coverage now and after retirement.

Breitling Replica Watches Indicate Sophisticated Fashion Sense

You found a Breitling Navitimer. Price is $2,800. Seller says it was a gift, never worn, comes with box and papers. The photos are blurry, but the deal feels too good to pass up. That feeling is exactly what counterfeiters count on. The replica watch trade isn't a niche problem anymore. A 2025 study by the OECD and the EU Intellectual Property Office estimated international trade in counterfeit and pirated goods reached roughly USD 467 billion in 2021 — about 2.3% of all world imports. Watches account for roughly 23% of the total seized value at borders, the single largest category. And Breitling? It's right in the sweet spot for counterfeiters — expensive enough to justify the effort ($3,000–$10,000 retail for most models), popular enough to have strong brand recognition.
TL;DR: Marketplace listings for Breitling replicas are everywhere, and the fakes keep getting better. This guide walks you through the specific tells — weight, logo quality, chronograph function, serial numbers, and listing red flags — so you don't drop thousands on a counterfeit.
Why It Matters The counterfeit watch economy produces more units annually than Switzerland's entire legitimate industry. The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry estimates around 40 million counterfeit watches are produced worldwide every year — more than the 15.3 million genuine watches Switzerland exported in 2024. That's not a typo. More fakes than real ones. And the quality gap is closing. "Super clones" now run $400–800 from trusted dealers, with Swiss-made automatic movements and cases that fool casual inspections. A 2026 analysis described the rise of high-precision "super clones" as shifting the counterfeit threat from low-grade street fraud to immediate market replacement. Here's where it gets uncomfortable for buyers: enforcement intercepts roughly one million counterfeit watches a year. Against 40 million produced, that's about one fortieth. The economics of counterfeiting are, in large part, the economics of a very low chance of getting caught. Bezel, an authentication platform, rejected 34% of watches attempted to be sold on its marketplace in 2025 — up from 29% in 2024 and 23% in 2023. The average value of a rejected watch reached $10,679 in the first half of 2025. That's a lot of near-misses.

Fake Watches in U.S.

23.3 million

Watchfinder & Co. estimate

One in five luxury watches on sale in New York are fakes, according to a report by pre-owned specialist Watchfinder & Co. And an estimated 23.3 million fake watches are circulating in the United States alone. The odds of running into one aren't theoretical — they're statistically probable.
"

Against 40 million fakes produced yearly, enforcement intercepts roughly one million. That's a one-in-forty chance of getting caught.

The Tell-Tale Signs: What to Check Weight and build quality. This is the first thing any experienced buyer does. Genuine Breitling watches are solid — stainless steel, titanium, precious metals. They feel substantial on the wrist. Fakes feel light or flimsy because they use cheaper alloys. The case, bezel, and bracelet should fit together with smooth edges and clean lines. Fake watches have rough edges, uneven surfaces, or poor finishing. The logo. Breitling's winged "B" is precise. On a genuine watch, the logo is perfectly proportioned with clean lines and sharp edges. Fakes have logos that look slightly off — rough edges, asymmetrical wings, an uneven "B". Check every instance: dial, crown, case back, clasp. Inconsistencies are red flags. The chronograph. Breitling is known for chronographs. On an authentic piece, sub-dial hands reach the track edge and reset dead-on to zero. Pushers feel firm and responsive, not loose or stiff. Fake chronographs often have mushy pushers, wobbling hands, and sub-dials that are purely decorative or driven by a hidden quartz movement. If the chronograph hands don't reset accurately or the sub-dials don't respond at all, walk away. The crystal. Most modern Breitling watches have anti-glare coating on the crystal. A bright glare might mean it's fake. Genuine Breitlings have a bluish or purplish glow on the crystal. Serial numbers. Every genuine Breitling has a unique serial number engraved on the case back at the 6 o'clock position, just below the reference number. The engraving should be deep, crisp, and evenly spaced. Fake watches often lack a serial number entirely, or it's poorly engraved. On models from roughly 2003 onward, a four-digit production date code is engraved between the lower lugs. The slide rule (Navitimer). The Navitimer's circular slide rule is one of the most complex bezel designs in watchmaking. On a genuine Navitimer, the outer bezel rotates smoothly in both directions with no clicks. The scale markings align precisely with the inner ring. Counterfeits often have a completely smooth bezel edge or very poorly defined beading where individual beads merge together. If the bezel doesn't rotate, clicks, or feels rough, the watch is likely counterfeit.
Authentication Point What to Check Red Flag
Weight Substantial heft from high-grade materials Light, flimsy, or cheap-feeling
Logo Perfectly proportioned winged "B," sharp edges Rough edges, asymmetrical wings, uneven "B"
Chronograph Sub-dials reset to zero, firm pusher feel Decorative sub-dials, mushy pushers, wobbling hands
Serial Number Deep, crisp engraving at 6 o'clock on caseback Missing, shallow, or poorly engraved
Crystal Bluish/purplish glow from anti-glare coating Bright glare, no coating
Navitimer Bezel Smooth bidirectional rotation, crisp markings No rotation, clicks, rough feel, merged beads
Best Suited For Authorized dealers or authentication platforms — never blind trust Any listing with "bought as gift, never worn"
Marketplace Red Flags The watch itself might look convincing. The listing is where most buyers get hooked. Price is the easiest filter. A price 30–40% under market value is the classic bait. If a Breitling Navitimer that retails for $8,000–$10,000 is listed at $2,800, something is wrong. Counterfeiters know price triggers emotion, not logic. Account age and history. A seller profile created recently is a major red flag. So is a seller with minimal feedback or transaction history. Honest sellers have track records. Photo quality and quantity. Stock photos or manufacturer press images mean the seller may not physically have the watch. A legitimate listing carries 8–15 detailed shots — dial, case back, bracelet, clasp, movement (if visible), box, and papers. If you can't see the serial number in the photos, ask for it. If they won't provide it, move on. The story. "Bought as a gift, never worn" is one of the most common cover stories for counterfeit watches. So is "inherited but I don't know much about watches." These narratives are designed to explain away the seller's ignorance and lower your guard. Pressure tactics. Any seller rushing you, pressuring you for cash, or creating artificial urgency is running a play. Real sellers don't need to close a deal in the next hour. Location mismatches. If the seller claims to be in one country but tracking information originates from another — particularly Vietnam or China — your scam alert should go off. A 2025 CBP seizure at Chicago O'Hare intercepted 243 counterfeit designer watches worth over $6.64 million that arrived from China on May 4. Breitling was on that list. Friction Points The counterfeit game has evolved. The old advice — "just check the weight" — doesn't catch a super clone with a tungsten-weighted case. A 2026 analysis noted that "super clones" are shifting the counterfeit threat from low-grade street fraud to immediate market replacement. The best fakes now cost $400–800 and come with cloned movements that fool casual inspection. Here's the uncomfortable truth: most buyers aren't equipped to authenticate a watch in person. The difference between a good fake and a genuine Breitling can come down to things you can't see — movement finishing, lubricant quality, the specific alloy used in the mainspring. Even experienced dealers get fooled. Bezel rejected 34% of watches attempted to be sold in 2025. That means more than a third of sellers — many of whom probably believed their watches were real — got turned away. Papers can be faked. Boxes, warranty cards, even service receipts are counterfeited now. Don't treat paperwork as authentication. Reverse image search the photos. If the same watch appears in multiple listings across different platforms, it's a scam. Verify the serial number through Breitling. The definitive way to verify a Breitling serial number is through an authorized Breitling service center or boutique. Use escrow or authentication services. Chrono24 offers escrow. Bezel authenticates before shipping. If the platform doesn't offer buyer protection, you're gambling. And here's a position that might annoy some people: don't buy a Breitling from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. Full stop. The risk-reward ratio is broken. The savings aren't worth the headache. If you can afford a Breitling, you can afford to buy from a dealer who stands behind what they sell.
Key Takeaways: Weight tells you a lot. The logo tells you more. The chronograph tells you everything. And the listing itself — price, photos, seller history, the story — is where most scams get spotted before money changes hands. Trust the process, not the price.
The Verdict Spotting a counterfeit Breitling on a marketplace isn't about memorizing a checklist. It's about developing a suspicious mindset. Assume every deal is too good to be true until you've verified otherwise. Check the weight. Check the logo. Check the chronograph. Check the serial number. Check the seller's history. If any of these feel off, walk away. There will always be another watch.
